Gun Shots Over Barking Dog

Early Saturday morning, a Lake George woman was arrested for firing a shotgun toward a neighbor’s house to try and stop a dog from barking, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Jennifer Dodson, 41, and Derek Ford, 30, were arguing around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, August 16, over Ford’s barking dog in Lake George. Dodson allegedly fired a round from her shotgun toward the general area of Ford and his dog “Aries,” police said.

Dodson was arrested and charged with Menacing (2nd Degree), Reckless Endangerment and discharging a firearm within 500-feet of a residence, police said. She was held in the police lock up in lieu of $1,200 bail.  She is due in Lake George Town Court on August 28.
