Busy Weekend for Troopers

Six incidents from the New York State Police over the weekend:

Troopers arrest Connecticut man for DWI in Albany
Saturday, March 22: State Troopers arrested William Sullivan, 48, of Easton, CT after he was pulled over at 9:35 p.m. in his 2003 Saab on Everett Rd. for erratic operation. Troopers stopped the car and found him to be intoxicated. Sullivan provided a breath sample of .24% BAC.

Schenectady man charged with DWI in Colonie
Sunday, March 23: State Police arrested Mitchell Karp, 57 of Schenectady, for DWI after a traffic stop on Watervliet-Shaker Road in Colonie. While pulled over, Troopers interviewed him and found him to be intoxicated. Karp was brought to SP-Latham where he provided a breath sample of .10% BAC.

Delmar man charged with Marijuana Possession
March 23: State Police arrested a Delmar man for marijuana possession after he was pulled over on 9W in Albany. Troopers say that the driver, Timothy Ellis, 47, of Delmar, was found with approximately 1.8 ounces of weed. The odor of marijuana led to a search which uncovered the three plastic bags, police said.

Cobleskill woman arrested in Domestic Dispute
March 23: Around 6:40 p.m., State Police were called to a domestic dispute on Winegard Road in Richmondville. Arrested was Deborah Lacitignola, 47, for punching the victim numerous times in the face and causing injuries. Lacitignola was charged with Assault (3rd Degree, misdemeanor).  She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.

East Chatham Man arrested for DWI
March 22: State Police out of New Lebanon arrested Edward Greenburg, 61, of East Chatham, for DWI after he was pulled over on State Route 295 for crossing hazardous markings. Greenburg gave Troopers a breath sample of .09% BAC.

Schoharie Man Arrested for DWAI
March 22: At a fixed DWI Road Check on Route 7 in Cobleskill, Troopers smelled an odor of marijuana coming from a car driven by Daniel King, 23, of Schoharie. He was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Police say King failed roadside sobriety tests and was in possession of marijuana. King was taken to SP-Cobleskill and underwent additional tests with a Member of Troop G’s Drug Recognition Expert Program.

Ballston Spa man arrested for Untaxed Cigarettes
Stopped for speeding by the State Police out of Queensbury, William Bray, 34, of Ballston Spa is charged after Troopers found over 10,000 Untaxed Cigarettes (58 cartons) and Unlawful possession of marijuana.
