A man who tried to drive home to Hartford, NY in Washington County on three tires is now facing DWI charges, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Jaycen Alden, 23, was arrested Thursday night for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle. Alden was sent to jail for lack of bail and is to be arraigned in Lake Luzerne Court.
Police were called to the area of Gurney Lane in Queensbury for an erratic driver who had struck a guide rail and had lost a tire. Still, on three tires, the car travelled about six more miles to the area of Gage Hill Road in Lake Luzerne before authorities caught him.
Alden had two prior DWI convictions in the past ten years and was convicted of Aggravated DWI on July 10 in Kingsbury, investigators said. Additionally, he was driving even though he had a revoked driver’s license from his previous DWI conviction.
Finally, Alden was supposed to have an Ignition Interlock Device in his car and was driving a relative’s vehicle at the time of the incident, authorities said. The arrest was made by Warren County Patrol Officer PO Jesse Pound.
