State police say a 37-year-old roofer has been charged with bilking customers in Albany and Schenectady counties out of more than $45,000.
Investigators say Greg Brisk of Schenectady was charged last month with grand larceny after he accepted nearly $5,000 for a roofing job but never started the work and refused to return the customer's money.
Since then, police say other people in Albany and Schenectady counties have come forward, claiming they paid Brisk for work that he never started or completed, with no return of their money.
Brisk has been charged with six additional counts of grand larceny. Authorities say the larcenies total more than $45,000.
Brisk is being held in the Schenectady County Jail.
