It's becoming one of the most iconic images to come out of yesterday's carnage at the finish line of the Boston Marathon - a firefighter, his face filled with emotion, carrying a little girl to safety. The firefighter pictured is Jimmy Plourde, a 1995 graduate of Colonie High School and a graduate of Siena College. His father, Peter, was himself, an EMS worker in Colonie as was his mother, Janet.  Peter Plourde tells News Radio 810 & 103.1 WGY's Read Shepherd he was proud to see his son serve in this time of need.

As for the little girl in the photo, no word yet on her identity or condition.
