Game 3 of the World Series is tonight. You can hear the game on Fox Sports 980. The Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals are tied 1-1 of the best-of-7. Tonight's game is in St. Louis. Jake Peavy pitches for Boston and  Joe Kelly for the Cardinals.

In the AHL, Norfolk shut out the Adirondack Phantoms 3-0; the Albany Devils on a three-game win streak win 4-3 over the Hartford Wolfpack at the Times Union Center. Today, the Devils host Portland at 5 p.m.; Adirondack is down in Binghamton.

College hockey: Union men skate to a 2-2 tie with UCONN; New Hampshire at RPI tonight.

Women: UCONN beat RPI 3-2 in OT; Today, Union vs. Syracuse and RPI vs. UCONN.

In the NHL, the New York Islanders edged the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3; the Buffalo Sabres beat the Florida Panthers 3-1

Preseason NBA: Kemba Walker scored 18 points and made the tiebreaking basket with 1:31 remaining as the Charlotte Bobcats spoiled the Knicks' return to Madison Square Garden with an 85-83 preseason victory. Carmelo Anthony scored 13 points but shot 4 of 17, missing a potential tying jumper in the final seconds.
Brooklyn Nets beat the Miami Heat 108-87 in the exhibition finale for both teams.
