Man Stabbed in Schenectady

Schenectady Police are looking for a woman who they stabbed a man after an argument around 4:30 a.m.

It happened near the intersection of Orchard Street and Third Avenue when the victim, 33, of Albany, said he went up to a woman wearing a hooded-sweatshirt who he thought was a friend of his, police said. However, the woman was not and the two began arguing. That’s when she pulled a knife and stabbed him several times in the arm and chest, police said in a statement.

The victim then ran to Broadway where he flagged down a car for help and was taken to Albany Med where he is in stable condition. There have been no arrests so far. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Detective Division at (518) 382-5245.
