A new study puts a new spin on the concept "you are what you eat," showing a link between favorite ice cream flavors and personality traits. According to the new Baskin-Robbins survey, those who prefer vanilla are "more likely to be impulsive, easily suggestible and an idealist," while chocolate lovers are typically "dramatic, lively, charming, flirtatious, seductive and gullible."
People who like mint chocolate chip are often more "argumentative, frugal and cautious." But regular chocolate chip eaters tend to be "generous, competent and a go getter," and those who choose chocolate chip cookie dough are often "ambitious, competitive, and a visionary." Pralines 'n cream apparently appeals to the shier types, who are usually "loving, supportive and prefer to avoid the spotlight."
Introverts lean toward strawberry and rainbow sherbet doesn't reflect a bright disposition, but is the flavor of choice for those "more likely to be analytic, decisive, and a pessimistic."
And if your favorite flavor is rocky road, you’re more likely to be aggressive, engaging and a good listener. This is all ahead of National Ice Cream Day, which is Sunday, July 21.
