Escort robbed at Colonie Motel

Early Friday morning, two armed men burst into a woman’s room at the Super 8 Motel on Central Avenue and demanded cash, Town of Colonie police said.

It happened at 1:26 a.m. and police say one of the men had a small, silver handgun and wound up taking the woman’s cell phone, a handbag and barber-style clippers. Police say the men got in a small silver SUV and took off eastbound on Central Ave. The vehicle was described as having a tire with a hard cover mounted on the back. No one was injured in the incident.

The victim had advertised herself as an escort on Backpage.com and answered the door for one the suspects believing that he was a customer. That’s when the both forced their way in, police said.

Descriptions:

Suspect 1: Hispanic Male - 5’10”, 175 pounds, Facial hair on Chin
Clothing: Red baseball hat, tan vest, white & red camouflage pants, red and white Nike sneakers

Suspect 2: Black Male - 5’7” – 5’10”, 170 pounds, clean shaven
Clothing: Black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black Nike sneakers
Weapon: Displayed what appeared to be a small silver handgun

Suspect Vehicle:  Small Silver SUV – spare tire with a hard cover mounted to rear
