A Hudson woman escapes with just minor injuries after her car crashes into a high-voltage utility tower. 22-year-old Amanda Auriemma was on Route 9 early Sunday when she veered off the road, continued for about 50 yards and hit a National Grid tower in Livingston, Columbia County. Police say the car became lodged into the base of the tower. A crew had to stabilize the damaged structure before the vehicle could be removed. State Police say alcohol wasn't a factor in the crash. The cause is still being investigated.
